Default Q-tec electric cut out wiring question

I bought a used Q-tec elec cut out. The only thing I dont have is the wire that go from the switch to the cut out. How can this thing be wired up with out used the missing wires/plugs? Basically all I have is the red wire, black wire & a switch. But Im thinking about buying on of those two way rocker switch . It has like three or four prongs on the back, where the Q-tec switch has 8.. Can that be done? How have some of you wired yours up? Please give detailed wiring instructions. Thanks, Vann

You want a double-pole, double-throw, center-off
switch. Then you wire the power/gnd to the center,
common terminals and the motor leads in an "X" to
the outer terminals.

M1 M2
B+ Gnd
M2 M1

That takes care of forward and reverse. There may
be limit switches that make things slightly more
complicated, dunno about that in your particular
cutout's case.
