Air Conditioning & Remote Start
A few weeks ago I took my car to the local Viper alarm dealer and had the Viper 791vx alarm installed on my car. I now also have the remote start also working. Everything seemed just peachy, until....
One day I noticed that my air conditioning is not coming on when I use the remote start or the turbo timer. Everything else works fine, I know it probably has something to do with the secondary ignition or something like that. I checked all my settings on the alarm and they are all correct (I think). So I know it has to be a wire or something the alarm shop did not hook up.
Can someone tell me exactly what wire(s) from the car and from the alarm that I need to hook up in order for my air conditioner to work with the remote start?

Actually:
Pink = primary ignition (PCM, fuel, spark, etc)
Orange = Secondary ignition (HVAC)
Brown = Accessory (radio/wipers/windows)
Be sure all three are getting power from the RS unit.

So I need the Orange wire from the ignition switch for the AC and it needs to be connected to the Orange wire from the remote start.
Is this right?

I'm not sure how the Vipers are, you may need an additional relay to power up the orange bus. In that case you would use an "additional ignition" activation ground to power up a relay for it. Some remote start units only have 1 ignition output, if you need a second, they provide an activation ground. Be sure to keep the pink and orange wires isolated. (no physical connection to each other). If your orange wire on your RS is #12 or larger, you shouldn't need a relay as it would be capable of powering the bus. The color code I gave you pretty much applies to all GM's for many years.
