I eat about a quart every 3000 on mobil 1. I'm def. going to try that 0w 30 castrol next time around. thanks for all the help patman!

what would be the advantage if any to running 0w40 from 10w30 both mobil 1????

my car already does not eat any oil. will weather have any effect on the 0w40

I gained 5psi at idle and at cruise with 0W40 over 10W30 although I had no oil consuption with either.

My SS does not use any, but then I have been changing it every 2500 or so. I bought the car in April and it had 31,410 on it then and only 37,850 now. Have not noticed any oil loss.

mine uses about 1.5 quarts every 3,000 miles. oh and i use 10w-30 mobil 1. let me ask u guys when approx.(quarts low) does the low oil light come on??

im thinking about trying the german castrol 0w30 out. would this oil be ok for the winter months in north carolina??

Most definitely! This oil works extremely well in the winter time, since it's cold flow abilities are one of the best you can buy.

80K miles and mine uses about 1.5 quarts every 2000 miles i'd say...I hope that is somewhat normal...

None here after 10k. Using AMSOIL 5W-30. I will keep an eye on it though.
Now the wifes Northstar......that's a world all it's own!
