I welcome myself "offically"
Well I have been on this board for about a couple months just seein what the V8 guys have been up too. Mind you guys I have been into imports for a long time. No I was not a ricer! Alot of my buddies had alot of fun with swaps and FI applications. I also had a WRX that I put a good deal of work into. But it is time to play with the big boys! But this Monday, October 18th, I will be the proud owner of a 1998 White Pontiac Formula. It has 53k, hardtop, A4. Extra clean and was very well taken care of! It is bone stock and ready for some fun mods.
The things my buddies said to start with were general maintaince things.
1. Oil
2. Belts
3. Tranny fluid
4. Rear diff. fluid
5. Plugs and wires
6. Fuel filter
Anything else I should consider doing? What kind of fluid would you guys consider? Also what kind of plugs and wires?
Thanks guys! I will keep you all updated! I will also try and have 95_Firehawk_dude post some pics when she is home sweet home!
Jon

Thats more of a top speed gear. The 3.23's are better for accelerating, such as down the drage strip. However, If you dont plan on racing your car you might as well keep them. Plus you will get better gas milage.
If you do plan on racing go with a stall and either 3.23s or 3.42s because the bigger gear wont help much with a stall.
