I need to Bleed them badly on my 98 Malibu.
I just wanted to find an Online guide to How to do this myself.

Dont know of any online guids but this is what I know maybe it will help.

You need 2 people, one to pump the breaks and another to let the air out of the line.
one pumps the breaks then holds them down, the other loosens the nut thing and lets the air out. Then tighten it back and pump again. Basically its, pump hold, let air out, pump hold let air out. keep going till you start getting fluid come out instead of air.

I know its not a great job of explaining but just trying to help.

That wasn't that bad at all. One thing to remember is to make sure the pedal will get hard before you stop. You really can't blead to much. I hate doing that job. You guys here about the new brake stuff that it only takes six pumps to get all of the brake fluid out?

I've helped my dad bleed the brakes several times on various cars. My leg gets tired after a while though, from all the pumping and ****. Make sure you don't end up with that job unless you are ready for a one leg workout...

Well if you can figure out a way to hold the breaks to the floor, while you get out of the car and do the other stuff maybe it will work.

if your around the chicagoland area i have a bleeder from snap on you could borrow. it only takes 1 person to use it

You can use a board to keep the brake to the floor. I've done that. You can also use a mighty vac to pull the fluid through. That's what I do now.

You can bleed them yourself with a small peice of rubber vacuum hose and a jar.


Use a small peice of vacuum line and press it over the end of the loosened bleeder screw and put the other end into the jar of fluid. Pump away, be sure not to let the master cyl. run dry and reuse the fluid as the jar gets full.

Be sure that the end of the hose is submersed in the fluid within the jar or air will get sucked back into the line when you let off the brake.

You dont waist fluid this way and your paint will not be harmed by the mess.
