The SLP lid has the best fit. They all preform the same. There was and article in GMHTP about it. Don't get the SLP lid from e-bay. Get it directly from slponline.com for like $79.

I have the SLP lid and it fits perfectly... fitment is what you should be worried about, and I think SLP has the best overall repuatation for fitment (at least that is why I bought mine)...

for the umteenth time!!...its because people are NOT puttin it on correctly!!...the only reason this happens is because it is not pushed far enough back...the front of the lid (that goes between the clamps) must go behind the lip on the air box...i will find you a picture jsut give me a sec

of the time when somebody says there lid is rubbing its an SLP lid. either the lids have a fitment problem or the people who buy SLP lids dont know what there doing during the install.

Ok then, explain this one to me. Before my heads/cam/headers install, my SLP lid didn't rub at all. Now it rubs like crazy. And yes, 02WS6Bird, I know about the lip. The only thing I can figure is the motor is moving more now to cause the rub.
Or maybe my radiator's sitting differently now? Anyone ever had a similar experience?
