Default ls6 from ls1

THis may sound like a crazy question.... Here is the deal.
Can I build a ls6 (zo6 motor) using my ls1 block?

If I buy ls6 cam, heads, pistons, pcm and crank? Is it worth it?

If I find an ls6 out there can I install it in an F-body wihtout modification?

yes, but you'll be missing one the only benefits of the block, better bay to bay breathing.

and no its not worth it. i'd wager for the cost of building up a stock ls6 motor you could have a forged 346-348 shortblock and you coud even get h/c if you budgeted your money right.

he's right...a stock LS6 in an f-body would be cool but for the money spent, you can make much more power.

I wouldn't waste my time swapping to a LS6 cam even if it was free. You might as well throw a real cam in there. I'd take the LS6 heads and have them ported. Then you'd have some fun!
