Default Question on 0-60 times

I always see posted quarter mile times and trap speeds but does anybody know what their cars are doing 0-60 in after some mods? For example, what would a 350 or 400 rwhp T/A do 0-60 in assuming decent tires and peak conditions?

With 400RWHP and nittos..low 4's probably. 1/8 of a mile is a good representation though.

There was a excel sheet somewhere that figured that out. On my 11.6 run it said 3.5 seconds to 60 mph.

My best 0-60 is a 4.0 , I consistently run 4.1's with et streets and 4.3-4.4 on street tires. I wanna go and try it in this colder weather and maybe get some 3's I use a g-timer. Its very accurate with the track and much more so than the gtech.

How does it now work? It's not a calculator that predicts the car's capability, more the driver's ability.

I dont get what your saying? The driver's ability is pretty unpredictable isnt it? I dont see how you could calculate that? The car itself is more predictable is it not?

This is the part I was curious about....

1.9 second 60' time = 43.0 mph @60' = 4.6 second 0-60 time
1.8 second 60' time = 45.5 mph @60' = 4.0 second 0-60 time

I have never pulled a 1.8 60' put I have pulled some

1.92 which = 4.0 for me
2.0 = 4.6

I dunno just an observation.

But interesting still.
I'd like to know what GM rated our cars from the factory.

The last shootout between the SS and COBRA clocked the M6 SS at 0-60 at 5.2. It was either Motortrend or Car and Driver.The fastest I've read a (TA) LS1 go was 0-60 was 5.0 flat. I believe it was Car and Driver.

Original poster asked what 0-60mph times a 400RWHP f-body had...

0-60 times rely on too many inconsistant variables to be really accurate, and actually mean something, IMO. Its all about the driver.
