I had the 712's on my LS1. I cut 1.8 60's on them and they lasted until I got rid of the car...more than 20,000 miles. I have them on my Cobra currently as my winter tire.

If price is a factor look into the Fusion tires made by Bridgestone. Great tire for the price.

I think the best bang for the buck tire is the Hankook Ventus. They are better than stock, handle really well, and they stick awesome in the rain. Plus they only cost me like $80 a tire.

How are you guys cutting sub 2 second 60 ft times on 712s? Are you M6 or A4? What psi are you running?

Can't beat the price I run them the Ecsta 711's up front it a nice basic tire. Hoever I would never run them for a reartire, only BFG and Nitto out back.

My LS1 was an A4. I've found that that 712's have an extremely hard sidewall that doesn't flex much. So...there isn't really a point in lowering the psi IMO. I ran 32psi out back and 40psi up front if memory serves. They "hook" better than F1's or GSC's.

I have G-Force KDWS's on my car. I'm happy with them. I have 18K miles on them and they still have good tread on them, alsthough they are mostly highway miles. They hook, handle and wear well. Good in the dry, wet and in the snow, just need a light foot in wet/slick conditions though(its like that with all tires on my car though.) Mods in my sig.
