I bet a pigeon **** some gravel from above which landed on your ttop. (I'm not joking) Either that or someone kicked up a big rock.

Yeah that's true. You know what I was thinking. I actually saw a guy riding around and his passenger side T-top looked like a bubble. I think THAT's what happens when you tint your t-tops. I've heard that it's a big no-no. Don't know if it's true or not.

I have heard of un-molested tops spontaneously exploding. Sometimes it just happens...so they say. I heard a few people say it happened on the highway I think. If you do a search on google, I am sure you will find some people.

I have known windshields to break when the windows are rolled up and the car/truck hits a dip in the road. It happened to a friend of mines silverado.

it could be that the vibration of the car and the harmonics of the rushing air above just caused it to reach the proper high pitch frequency where it would shatter. it happens on bridges and buildings sometimes, they jsut fall apart for no reason, they can literally just turn to dust and fall apart. that's an act of god man. bizarre.

i saw that on mythbusters 1998Camaroz28

but what really ahppened is you looked to your right cuz you heard a roar...btw that black blur going by was me in my TA...instead of the saying i blew your doors off...i literally blew your ttop up when i passed

I was gone..before you could see my car in front of you eather...therefore leading to you believing it was spontanious.

My driver side flew off last summer. I had a thread about it. I was going about 60, rolled up my window, and it flew off and shattered. It was properly latched, but not locked.

same thing happened to me when my car was a month old

probably vibration. resonant frequencies could do it. especially since t-tops dont really stay in too firmly.

Only thing I can figure is that you have some strange super power. Have you tried to move things or start fires by simply looking at them......

I was driving around the other night and the lock on my drivers side T-Top fell out and hit me in the HEAD!!! If you take them apart there is a little piece of **** GM clip that holds it on. I need someone with a welder to tack it and I guess the other one back in tight! I was pissed!!
