How much should I expect to pay for a Paint Jobs ????
I am going to be doing my 98 Malibu which is my daily driver in like 2 months. The paint its very bad on the right front fender,Like its peeling and on the roof,Its fadding away.I want my car to look like it just came out of the dealership when I get it painted.Thats the kind of quality I want.I dont know much about Paint Jobs and thats why I am asking here about this.My car right now its like a Pewter color and though its very nice,Low maintence,I most likely will paint it Onyx Black like my 2003 Yukon even though Im not sure how it will look like with my tan interior.Im reaally debating on this

2k minimum for quality. i was quoted 2500 for a complete change of color for my formula. thats taking off all moldings/emblems, inside the doors and hatch and anywhere else you could see the old color. but i decided against it, since you would still see the pewter if you popped the hood. i figure one day ill pull everything off the car, and then send the painter a rolling chassis and have that painted. pewter is a tough color for me to find goodlooking appearance mods.

well, i have the older style ws6 wheels (not the square ones), working on the hood..., dont have the clear corners yet, and i cant paint the bumper cause i have a formula and it doesnt have the same lines as the ta bumper, so it wouldnt look right. the only line is around the license plate, and that would just look weird....

and what i meant by the appearance mods...i want reflective decals...but the only ones that would look good are black, but they look gold in light...and that doesnt look good at all.
ps - there was just alot of fbodies on 'rides' on tlc at the strip

$2500 about. Painting jams is a lot of work. I'm pulling the interior out of my t/a when I get around to spraying it. The carpet needs to be cleaned anyway. I'm going to leave the inner fenders gray. Won't see it that much.

IMO, reflective decals are imagine a black ws6 on the highway with a blk/red exterior color scheme driving past you. red hood grills, red side grills, red reflective 'ram air' decals on the hood, red reflective 'trans am' decals on the door, red reflective decals on the center section b/t the taillights. maybe have the feathered decals on the doors in red reflective as well. could possibly toss on the ceta hood stripes, which are feathered as well. and have it all red reflective. and have the taillight blackouts as well, and 5% tint all around. so as it passes you, your headlights illuminate only that which is reflective some people might not like it, but if i could do it....i would in a heartbeat
