Should I keep her stock?
Bought a 1999 Z28 Convertible with 6400 miles in Jan 2005. Car is like new. Always keep in a garage under a cover. Totaly stock.
I'm not sure if I should modifer her or keep her stock. Will I hurt the value? If I decide to sell her at some point will the mods scare people away.

mod the hell out of it, but keep all the stock parts, throw 'em back on when you get ready to sell and part out the performance stuff. people do this all the time!
you found a jem if its only got 6400 miles on it! its hard to find an 02 with that many miles

I kept my WS6 stock for around 2 years. If I could do it all over again I would have started when I got home with the car. Modding your car is very addictive. So mod the hell out of it but keep the stock parts like Theblurls1 said. This site is great for modding decisions. Search and use all the sticky's. Have fun.
Mod that mother, enjoy every second and dime you put into it, and if your worried about resale, sell it now and buy a different car. Very few cars will hold their value over time and anyone who knows anything about these cars will know that if you take the time and money to mod it, you are most likely taking much better care of it than someone who knows nothing about these cars at all. Just my opinion, and good catch on becoming a custodian of a great car!

If the only thing that is stopping you from modding is worring about long term value, then don't worry. Do whatever makes you happy, after all that is the point right?

I've got a coworker that has a 2002 ws6 a4. Ordered it so it'd be very late in the run of f-bod's. The car has less than 2K miles, is garaged (climate controlled no less), covered, and on jack stands to help protect the tires. Takes it out 4-5 times a summer. Obviously no mods at all. Pristine car, but what fun is that?!?! If you're gonna drive it, mod it!
(btw to those with late model f-bods, his car has a steel pencil writing on the rear of the block with production # and "fast car!! written by the builders)

If you still aren't sure, bolt-on the hell out of it and keep your old parts. If you change your mind, no harm no foul, plus you had some extra horses. If you get addicted, then start doing the stuff that is harder to set back to stock.

don't mod it. if you start, you won't be able to stop. i wanted a lid, a shifter, and lowering springs.... got 2/3 of those and had the lowering springs.... then Drag Launch springs went on! now the cars a beast and a ton of fun to drive when i pull it out

I've been hot rodding cars for.... well... since lots of you were in diapers. Spent WAY too much on things that weren't really worth it. So now I have a nice clean SS convertible. I know how, I have the money, but WHY? It's certainly fast enough to over power the roads. I'm no longer a street racin' punk. I think I'll leave it stock and keep my ca$h in my pocket.
