i think i might have found something i might qualify for.

I found something that has to do with mind-skin connection.

deals with high anxiety etc (which I have) that'd be more likely to fly since i get meds for that

LOL i would say dont worry too much, get 35% i believe you said, if you get ticketed, and fined, take it to court...or jsut pay the damn thing...then get a doctors note or get a doctors note or some sort of referal from the doctor to take to a judge/to court etc.

35% is really not all that dark anyways darker than 50 yes, but nothing to serious.

That is a ridiculous law. Even here in Nazichusetts the limit is 35%, and I've seen cars that have it and I'd rather have no tint than pay to have the 35%. It's virtually transparent. 50% is downright useless. The only tinted car I've owned was a Firebird w/ 20% put on factory windows so probably 17-18% total. Definately plenty dark enough that you couldn't see in at night, and less problems than 5%. Was mentioned to me once by an officer but no ticket. Never had to use it, but I did have the backup plan of a note from my eye doctor stating that reflections from bright headlights and the flash effect of the sun as it hits the trees caused instant migraine headaches and posed an unsafe driving situation. It did come in handy once because I was failing an inspection for it (the stations have the same tint-o-meter the cops do) and I presented the letter explaining it's "necessity". Got a sticker.

Here is a trick of the trade... those light meters cannot measure the back window due to the fact they cannot get the device on both sides of the glass... as the tool is designed only to measure the drivers and passenger side windows ... told to me by officers themselves... so the trick is not to run tint on the sides but dark as you want on the back odds are you wont get a ticket.. but they also cannot prove with a device that your car fails the tint.. worst they can do is harass you.

Well, you guys are lucky you don't live in California! We aren't allowed to tint the front-side windows at all!

BUT, I had some 5% on my 84 bird and got pulled over. Got nailed for speeding, no front plate, modified exhaust, tinted windows and a burnt out bulb. So, when I went in to see the judge, I got my fine for speeding and all he did was ask if I had taken care of all the things from my fix-it ticket. I said yes I did. And that was that, but a word of advice, do not drive the car with the illegal tint down to the court. Some cops will go and check, believe me, I saw it happen!

You can't get out of getting a ticket for tints most of the time. Either keep the tint on an accept the consequences of getting tickets like a man,,or take it off and don't worry about it. Even if you have a 'doctors note' giving you consent for tinted windows,,the officer can still write you a ticket and take your license until the court date. It would be in court that you would try to prove your condition and show the note. Giving a note to a cop would probably **** them off more, and cause you more problems in the future.

Beleive me,,,I'm not against getting around this corrupt system..but tints you can't really win. I have gotten pulled over countless times for tints,,and got tickets 99% of the time. The 1% were cool cops.

I'd still be mindful that as stated before, it's court that you'll end up showing the note...on the side of the road chances are VERY high it won't fly.

For some on here with your %'s...remember it's all in who you are talking to as to what they mean. 15% to some means the "shade level" or that 85% light is coming through. I know, most people assume 15% means only 15% of light can get through.

warning, the following is MY opinion and
THIS IS NOT A B.S. LAW!!
I know how many people like to cop bash and that's fine, to each their own. But come on. If you were a cop and pulled over a ricer (since if you were a cop you'd never pull over an f-body cause you'd be "cool") that had 5% tint all the way around you wouldn't be a little nervous about walking up on that car? Having no idea what was going on inside? Anybody in the car could be pointing a gun to your head... But I know, it's just another reason for cops to harrass you when you aren't doing anything wrong cause you're a good person. All I know is everytime I watch the news about somebody that was shooting somebody else, ran from the police or fought the police the family/friends always say the same thing. "s/he was a good person never did nothing wrong to nobody". Okay..I'm off my .

Put the note in the glove box and forget it.
Tint the hell out of it now.
