SS Everything
Heres the list:
Cobalt SS
Malibu SS
Malibu Maxx SS
Monte Carlo SS (all new)
Impala SS (all new)
Trailblazer SS (391 HP with LS2!!!!)
I might have missed one. The only one interesting to me is the Trailblazer but whatever.
Cobalt SS?? Come on!!
Even my SS isn't really "unique" the way SS used to be. In my mind, the most modern example of the SS is going to be the 94-96 Impala SS. I had a Caprice 305 V8 before I got my Camaro, so the Impala SS was a significantly different car. Other than that SS doesn't mean much any more.
So why did I spend the extra to get the SS instead of a Z? I guess because it still stirs you up a bit to see that SS on a Camaro.
When I see it on a Cobalt?
Here is everything that has worn (and will be wearing) a SS badge...
Impala SS ~ 1961 - 1969/1994 - 1996/2004 - 2006

Aslo Spy2520 you said "Maybe Chevy should just do like dodge and put a damn LS2 or LS7 in every car they come out with. " GM is planning on just that. They are putting the 4.6L Northstar, and LSX in everything now! The 08 production GTO (if it is produced and here in america) it will hae a reported 500 hp...now hmmm which GM motor is already capable of that
l: Also the supposed Next Gen Camaro/Firebird will have a reported 500hp if they return
Also the DOD system and all these 5.3L motors are going into several cars, THEY ARE LOSING IT

These companies are running out of ideas because of restrictions, as well as getting lazy!

If anyone wants to get back on topic here are the sites, personally I don't think Colbalts or Malibus deserve the SS badge (my opinion) at least the Impala and Mont Carlo have SS history.I will have to see the Trailblazer in person, but it looks kind of cool to me.
I know there were 60's Malibu SS,but today's econo-boxes don't deserve the Malibu nameplate.

I don't think anything with front wheel drive should be called Super or Sport, let alone both!
The monte carlo and impala have a history and a future, aren't theey going to rear drive with possible v8s in the next couple of years?
