Default High Pitched Drill Sound On Start-up

You know that sound from under the hood that kinda resembles a small drill that you get sometimes on start-up or if your car has been idling for a bit.....I think its the A.I.R. or something like that. Usually it only makes the sound for a second or two and then it cuts out. Yesterday I noticed that the sound had become very amplified....audible from the inside of the car, and was lasting til about two minutes after start-up. What's up with that?? Thanks!!

Default

AIR pump.
For more info search the forums.

It just does strange things. Sometimes it'll run, stop, run, etc. If it bugs you rip it out and have the SES light tuned away. Also you might want to check for an exhaust leak if it got louder all of the sudden.
