Before you say something like that, realize that it didn't necessarily start in this forum just because it is here now. Mods can move them....
In fact I think that's what happened.....

if a non 32 valve head 4.6 car pulls you on the top end,
get out your car, put gasoline on it and burn that piece.

the ls1 and lt1 are 2 different animals.

so you have a 4.6, an ls1 and your buddy has a mach I and the 4.6 pulls both these cars on the top end?

are you reading what you are saying?

Like this?

FWIW - I raced a 96' Cobra with mods when I was stock and he had a stick and I am an A4 and we stayed about equal up to 80 mph. We ran a second time and he maybe got half a car. Both times were from a 20 roll. IMO any of these cars can be made to be faster than the other. Just enjoy what you have and be glad it is not a Honda Civic.

My point exactly. BTW, he was talking about a GT, not a cobra......different car. The horsepower on that graph has an almost identicle curve as a stock mustang dyno graph I just saw over on modular mustangs, only higher and does not drop off as fast up top. The horsepower on the graph above doesn't start to taper off until 6100. It's the same at 6100 as it is at 5500. A stock GT will make 230 at more like 5200-5400, not 5700. A modded one without cam maybe 250-260 rwhp.
