hello gm people. just wanted to say that i am a mustang guy (currently own 4) but i have loved the ws6's scince like '93 or '94. i have found the exact one i love but dont know if the price is good or not. its a black '01 ws6 w/ black leather, 6 speed and t-tops, 61k. runs really good although the rotors seem like they may be warped.car is mint inside and out. dealer is asking $18.5k. sounds like a deal to me. thought they sold for around 21-22k but i really have no idea, thats why im on here. i do have to say though, damn its quick.

18.5 IMO is a bit high a price, I'd start @16k and go up if I really wanted it
BTW rotor warp is a somewhat common problem, easily fixed with new rotors (available from Autozone, or one of the many sponsors )
Good luck and welcome to the GM side

No way you're getting an 01 WS6 for 16 grand in the Va or MD area unless there is something wrong. Roters are cheap. About $70 a pair from Autozone.
18.5 for that car is a pretty good price. Try to talk them down or say how about 18 grand with tax, tags, etc. included.
Mileage doesn't matter as much unless it's to the extreme.

I have a '02 non-Ws6 with all the options and 40k on the ticker... i gave 17.5 for it and feel fine about it (car is in extremely good condition). I think you can work on the price a little though, seeing it has 61k on it.

Depending on your area the prices will vary and in many areas a $18,500 is a good price for a 01' WS6. Also, they are getting harder to find. I think the asking price is fair. And, they book for around $20,000 (Nada shows around $20,500).
As to the rotors I warped both the front and the rear, apparently GM was cheap in their rotor choice. I have since gone to Brembo blanks that are slotted/drilled with Hawke Pads and have had no problems and a noticable improvement (more so because of the pads) and no warping.
We have a couple of sponsors in the Group purchase area that have rotor and pads sales going. I went with the Irotors with both my 01' and 99' Firebird.

For my first post, I'll just say, that I got my 01' WS.6, almost all options possible, perfect everything in everyway, with 27K miles, for 17K. If I were you, I would look the way of e-bay, I even got a Firehawk rear-end, new from GM, never used or even put on a car (not even fluid), left over from production in 2002, for 270 dollars and 135 dollars shipping. Retail, this rear end I got goes for 3200 retail. E-bay is the way to go.

You might not but others will. In fact I'm wondering if there is something wrong with the car since they retail for about 20 grand and a dealer is selling it for 2 grand cheaper. Definately check out the car fully.

Just wanted to add I just picked up a 02' WS6 with 1,014 miles on it for $22K. I drove 6hrs to get it but the car still had the plastic on the floor and was absolutely perfect. The guy kept it stored since he bought it in Nov. of 02'. I thought it was a good deal myself. It has the A4 and all options but the 12 disk cd changer. Now I'm asking myself do I mod it or keep it stock?
