I would like to know what options my car was ordered with. I mean it has the SS badging and all the SS options except for the headers, but i have no stickers on either door inside or out. How would i go about getting more information. I was looking at the RPO codes, and i now i can't tell what i got.

If you dont have a sticker there, you can call SLP and give them your VIN.

did you buy it new? slight chance it might not be a real SS if it doesnt have the SLP tags in the door. just email SLP with your vin and they will send you a screen shot of their database that will list the options installed on your car.

if it's not a real SS it's a real good cover up. as it as all the SS options. I mean i don't have ANY tags on the doors, on every car i've owned there should be something, tire pressures, weight ratings, something. They both are clean.

I don't have any slp sticker on my door, and it is a real SS. Like luvmez28 said, just go to SLP online and give them your VIN#, that will answer all your questions. They can even give you a birth certificate for your car.

cool. I don't think it was in a wreck either. As there is not a dent/crease anything slightly out of alignment. No sign of major work underneath. It's just like they took the sticker off. If somebody has a carfax account and willing to do a report for me i'll give the VIN.

We got a new door with no RPO sticker, and if you didn't know it had been in an accident you could never tell by looking at the car...
IMHO your door was replaced for some reason or your RPO sticker was removed to hide the fact that it isn't a documented (real) SS... IE no WU8 RPO code...
Send SLP your VIN and they will send you the build number and options if it is real.

What year is your SS? In the later years 00-02 SLP did not do the modifications to the majority of the SS's. They were done in house by GM. My 01 has no SS tags on it either. Search the sticky's on the site, I know that one of them has a list of all the RPO codes. You will be able to see exactly how your car was provisioned by these codes.

OK, facts - headers were never an option on `98-`02 SS period. Catback - yes - headers - no.
All `98-`02 SS went to SLP for atleast the hood and spoiler, GM did everything else - base wheels, base catback, base suspension, etc.
SLP options, if any (Y2Y RPO code), would be found on a second sticker marked SLP and located on both doors. If there are no second sticker options, you get no sticker, hence a base SS.
RPO codes - you can get from your dealer with a VIN. Look for WU8 for a real SS. SLP options, if any, you can get from SLP, look for Y2Y RPO first. SLP can also tell you if its a real SS and its build number as all cars went through them.
*note* `01-`02 SS may have Y2Y RPO but no second stickers options.
Your door could have been repainted or replaced, happened to my friend's `98. I doubt anyone would go through the trouble of removing the RPO codes to sell a fake SS as most people don't know what to look for anyway.
OE SLP options could have been added later too. They sell their OE stuff to anyone with a valid SS VIN. OR you can buy their aftermarket stuff; wheels, etc are the same anyway.

Not sure what's with the stickers, but oh well. For all i know they guy that had it before me, removed them because they were ugly... IDK i'll i know is that it is a REAL SLP modified SS.
