This is a completely stupid arguement.

Stop swinging dicks or being dicks and help your fellow LS1-bretheren!

It's valid to say, 'Use the SEARCH button', because it helps people learn how to use this board to its fullest, but don't shun someone asking a question and make them feel stupid.

We were all new once and we all need to ask questions at one point.

My '02 Z did 303/325 bone stock. I've had it a little over a month now and have added full length headers an off-road y(still has stock cat-back) and pulley. Numbers are now 335/350. I also have a lid now and have yet to return to the dyno. Hope this helps a little.

I love the way he says "I finally got one, but NEED a HP estimate!!"

Come on man, if you really want a HP "reading," go to a dyno.

At least be nice to newb's in the beginning, that way they'll stick around long enough so we can ridicule them in the long term ... j/k !

I'd say 305 rwhp A4/ 315ish M6

So, you'd rather have a bunch of people offer up random guesses at your power? The fact is that the ONLY way to know is to get it dyno'd. Period.

I was just hoping to get a guestimate. That's all. I've owned the car 4 days. I was so excited when I got it and I came directly to this forum w/ a question and just got flamed. It just saddens me that when I ask for a lil help I get BS from people.

isoss: glad to have you aboard. dont feel bad for asking the question, i know it annoys some of the older guys around here, but dont worry bout it. To answer ur question, i fall in line with about everybody eles. around 300-310 for the auto, and add another 10 or 15 if you have a manual. We're happy to have you online with us, I know the site can be a bit overwhelming, but no worries, you'll soon come to love this site, and wonder how you ever lived without it. I never thought I would find myself so mesmarized by this site, but then again I never thought id spend 2 hours reading a website devouted to the LS1's design and creation.

Just for future reference the search button is an incredible tool to use, but I understand that sometimes there just isnt time to use it. Also, I wondered the exact same thing about my car the minute i got it. Enjoy, but DEFINETLY RESPECT your new baby. LOTS OF POWER, even stock.

(to bring up starwars) Welcome to the "Light Side", Transam's are the darkside

Nathan

dont quit the site, some people are just ******, let em go, stay for your own good, there's a ton of info to be had on this site. You'll be glad you did

first of all, if you dont like ME and you wanna say I suck, thats fine, opinions
are like ********.... but dont say this FORUM sucks... LS1tech is the hands down
BEST LS1 site on the interweb. so if you want to find another site, then by all
means go... but all you will find is LESS information,LESS member input, LESS
deals on group purchases....

the only thing i posted to YOU was a half joking hp estimate... but go back and
reread and reseach it, even if it was poken a little fun at ya it was 100% true
... the rest of the stuff was directed at all the whiners saying some of us (mostly
me) were being mean... and again... every single thing i said was 100% true...

everyone that thinks i am an ******* , is right ...

I AM AN *******.... but i am an ******* who is willing to help anyone member of this
site ,reguardless if you like me or hate me... **** most of you cant say that
about your best friend... how many of your friends would help you find the answer to
a question after you tell him go *** off?

if you just cant stomach the way i answer questions then use the ignore feature
thats what its there for....(see there i go being helpful again.... )

excelent point.....
you see ISOSS,
the people who you THINK are being nice by GUESSING what your hp is, are actually
hurting you... why?
lets say you take them at there word... you have a 300rwhp car right? but you
have never owned a real 300rwhp car before so you dont have a clue what thats
feels like, then you go to the track and run a 15 second time slip...
you dont wanna post it because you think its your drivings fault, but if you had
taken the advise of those of us NOT giving you some random guesss, and took it
to a good dyno on wideband and auto tap, you would have known BEFORE you embarist
yourself at the track that you had a bad O2 sensor, or knock sensor, or clogged
cat, or any of 100000 other things that might hold you back from good power.
and you could have fixed it and run what you should have....

hahahahahahahaaa...

but then they would expect me to be nice all the time.... i would hate to have someone
think i was a tease...

Look we know that you are exited... but if i can get you to come back to reality
by being an *******, it might stop you from making a bad purchase like any of 100
BS snakeoil products out there ment to do nothing but take your money.
because the companies that sell these things , are counting on you being all
excited and use that to lure you with promises of 35 hp for 50 bucks...ect ect..
and i hope you were not REALLY "saddened" by this... this is the interweb...
NOTHING on the interweb should EVER really **** you off...(think about it, i could
be some 10 year old kid just tuggin your chain)

man please tell me you are not asking another man about his underwear....

but as jaberwaki pointed out in not the most tactful of ways...hit the dyno.

This, is a PERFECT example of what I have been saying...
I may not say things the way you want to hear them...
but i will NEVER give you bum scoop if i can help it...

so i will say what i said before.....

Have a nice day (i mean that)

Man, it could be anywhere between 290-320, some of these cars were pretty beastly, some were average, and some were less than average, but the thing is most of them, who belong to owners who post on boards like this dont stay that way, w/lid, cut-out, thru an A4 in a 98 ls1 i put 316/341 which i think is very respectable for a year alot of people dont like, and an auto, the MAF is probably going to hurt you more than help you, alot of times you'll run lean off of it, so say you put a stock maf in, im thinking 315-18rwhp and 320rwtq
