Yeah high milage with good upkeep are more better than a low milage with raggedy care (saves on the price tag too) I got me a 00 Z with 72k on it and runs STRONG, i just need to replace the cats but owell other than that good shape!

Looked long and hard and found a 2000 A4 Z28 loaded minus leather with 69.5K on the clock paid 9K + fees car pulls string and found out it had some mods already 4.10's SFC's and shift kit. Put 300 to the wheel and 327 of TQ hadn't had it to the track yet.

My car. Paid 15K at a dealer, 21K miles, 2000Z28 A4. Bone stock, PA car, likely garaged 3-5 months a year. Supposedly overpaid, but I'm very happy. Bought 15 months ago.

I had a 93 LT1 Camaro A4 with 150,000+; bought it for $3200 adn it ran just as strong as a 94 LT1 M6 with 60,000 miles. So if that tells yu soemthing about GM production adn the LT1 LS1 legacy, well- then you'll make the right desicion.

Our WS6 had 96k when we got it... $12,500

It now has 115k, and still makes me grin.

I paid $10,500 for my '00 Z28 A4 (silver) with 60k miles. Came with 2 sets of rims, stock (with all-weather tires) and 16" chrome after market ones (with real nice street tires). Also came with a car cover. You just have to look around. It took me about 4 months until I found the right car for me. The only thing that made me mad was a week after I bought my car (bought it last November), a '01 Z28 A4 (white) went up for sale not too far from me for $11,000 with 52k miles. I would have loved to of gotten that, not just because it was a year newer, but a better deal overall. Also would have had the LS6 manifold, but aww well. I love my car!

And I agree with what previous people said about the LS1 still running good with over 100k+ miles.

id just wait for a deal. I saw a 99 ss with 90k miles sell for 8,000 a few months ago. It also had full bolts on, a cam, and stall. My friend bought a 00 z28 with forged 347 motor, th400 transmission and a 12 bolt, 6pt cage, etc. last year with only 44,000 miles for $11,000.

thats not that good of a deal. I saw on another forum a 98 vette with 80k miles for $15,750obo. However thats the best deal ive seen on a vette. There are a few 98-00 vettes with under 80k miles for around 17,000 if you look around. A corvette forum or here would be the best place to find deals on them it seems.

This thread is 3 years old, the OP hasn't posted since 6/05

But what ever. Whats the worry about a high mileage car if your plan are heads, cam, stroker? Thats a complete rebuild right there.

What do you guys think about buying a 2000 T/A with 120k on the clock. It has no mods and is a texas car brought to Michigan 3 years ago and stored in the winter. They say that the miles are mainly highway miles. Let me know what you think!
