I have a NON WS6 T/A convertible and many people think it's a Formula or they think it's a V6 Firebird.
This guy at the drag strip called my T/A a sleeper after he saw it run. He didn't think a smooth idle car that was lowered could be faster then his trailored in 70 Chevelle race car CD player was on and I was eating a burger and shake while staging. Life can be so simple when you own an LS1.

I love the Formulas. I have a 97 Formula, all black, and I took the badges off everything. I see so many V6 Firebirds with just a catback system, so I guess mine looks the same
I have had a couple of mustangs try to eat me alive, but they were not successful

Although, I did not know they were not publicly available. I also thought you could get a non-WS6 Formula convertible, but it appears I was wrong there.

Also, the Horse Power ratings have been proven to be under rated by GM. If you dyno a stock car and account for drive train loss the HP is typically higher than what GM advertised.
And once you start modding your LS1 the factory stats are garbage.

Yeah, most LS1s (except auto 98-00 cars) will put down around 300 at the wheels, even though they're rated around 305 or so for the base models. Lol.
the LT1s got underrated too. It was all a big scam for the Corvette having to stay top dog.
