It doesn't "pretty much," it does. It's just a solid piece of metal connecting the two axles. A spool is not really in question as I'm not going to deal with the chirping crap. My car is a daily driver. I spend probabaly 45 minutes a day driving in traffic and what not. When the day comes that it becomes a race-car, then I will get a spool. I won't have to worry about the posi breaking because I'm not doing 6,000rpm clutch dumps on et streets, yet. I'll keep it simple and stick to bfg drag radials on my zr1's. My clutch wouldn't hold a 6000 dump anyhow. No reason to break more stuff when you don't have any money.

i had a 8.8 in my old fox, and i broke it once. but it was low on fluid apparently


but, i had it rebuilt, and it was bullet proof. nothing wrong with an 8.8 imo, especially if you are going to buy a built one

Will and 8.8 bolt right up to and LS1 car? Are any kind of modifications needed?
