Default Problem Need help with!

I have a 02 TA M6. I took it to the drag strip today to see what it would run in an 1/8th. Taking off i would rev it up to 5G's and pop it. When i did i would spin through 1st 2nd and part of third. So i tried 3 1/2 to 4G's and when i did that it just bogged down and barely took off. could someone tell me what my problem is? is it my driving or can i do somethin to make this better?
I Ran a 9.6 and i think i should be running better than that!

LCA's= Lower Control Arms. It's a good idea to replace the stamped steel ones that come on our cars stock. It will help the car hook up a little better. Also, look into getting SFC's= Sub Frame Connectors.

Mid 8s should be a good time for you

Try reving to 2500-3k, and slipping the clutch out.
When you do a burnout, just spin the tires over a couple times, no need to get them hot or smoke them, as that will hurt traction.

Stickie tires and a huge launch on the stockrearend will kill it fairly fast, but if you learn to slip it you can get 1.8s out of it and sometimes more before worrying about it breaking.

Also the first mod you should do should be Subfram connectors. These cars should have come with them from the factory, but I'd highly suggest that being your first mod, and LCAs shortly there after, if you are getting wheelhop, etc.
