A4 versus M6

A4 versus M6 I am just curious which is faster in the 1/4 mile. A stock LS1 with an A4 or a stock LS1 with an M6? If the M6 is faster (which I am guessing) how much faster is it in the 1/4 mile? Thanks.
M6 will be depending on the driver. It could be up to a couple tenths. Don't expect to beat up on the A4's once they get a stall. When the power rises A4's will generally be faster and MUCH MUCH more consistant.

The A4 can usually launch better but the M6 will have a little more power and trap higher (less drivetrain loss through tranny). So in most stock situations the A4 = M6 in quarter mile ET but traps 1-3 mph less. With an exceptional driver (Evan Smith for example) the M6 will win the 1/4 mile. But like previously mentioned a 3500+ torque converter swings the ET advantage to the A4.
The A4 properly setup is best for drag racing, bracket racing and they make great daily drivers.
The M6 properly setup is best for autocross, road racing, highway runs/roll racing and make a real fun weekend toy.

if everyone was a true drive the m6 would be faster than an A4 (pre stall). but....as said earlier the a4 is more consistent. stock if youre an awesome driver and can feel a car out really well the m6. but its a toss up really.
