FireSilverLullaby, If your looking for some good rates i would goinsure.com thats were I found travelers and even some of the others companies were by far beating my previous company but travelers was the cheapest.[/QUOTE]

That is the best thing to do. Dont tie yourself in locally with quotes. I used www.insweb.com and got rates from all the biggest companys. I think I had about 15 or so quotes, 12 from "name" brand companys. Travelers also crushed my old Framers rate. I have been with them for 3 years now. Each year my insurance comes up ( I pay once a year ) I check rates again...this year I called Travelers to inform them that Allstate was $280 a year cheaper...they came down $250...I stayed with them.

Insured cars
2002 T/A WS6
2001 Honda CRV
1997 Cavilier Z-24
All full coverage
Drivers
Married male 34
Married female 36
Homeowners, good records, no accidents, excellent credit

$1597 a year for 100/300/100K coverage, $500 deductible

I get some quotes as high as $3000 a year.......so shop around !!

Progressive quoted me with over $4k a month on my 99 Formula with 1 ticket and no accidents. Outrageous! Geico was much cheaper but only because I am in the military...they came to about 1700 every 6. Still horrible but I suppose I'll work with it until I can find better.

Farmers Insurance
$500 every 6 months
full coverage
22 years old

Discounts are:
-leisure car (no more than 7000 miles/year)
-alarm equipped

Oh, it also helps that the car is insured under my parent's name.

Do you think the price for a Z28 would be high if its in my dads name?
I'm 17 and my dad is 55 with no tickets or accidents and we live in Texas.
