Question Need help deciding on 98-02 SS

Hey all, new here I have decided that I hate my Fords and need another Camaro! (used to have a Red Ttop 96 V6/M5) I've been "lurking" here and alot of other places reading up info, and have decided that I want a 98-02 LS1/M6 SS. I've found production #s but not nuch other real specs. Were there any changes from 98-02? Brake sizes, swaybars, computers, injector/MAF/TB sizes, etc? Also, what were all of SLP's options, and what codes were they? I've narrowed my choice down to a 98-02 SS M6, Ttop car in Rallye Red, Hugger Orange, SOM, or Blue Metallic. I would like to find a "loaded" SLP one instead of the "bare" SS option only cars. It will be a daily driver with occasional track usage. I want something that's reliable with power and good looks. I also like the new GTO's, but they are about $10-$15 out of my price range right now. I'll keep 1 Ford for the winter though!

-The stickies at the top of this forum answer most all of your questions.
-SLP made many of the options you see on SS's.
-There are tons of guys here who use their car for daily use only. So if you want to know something that can be used on a DD, ask around. It's all in your setup. Get things that go well together, get a good tune if you get a cam/heads etc, and many things can be considered DD.

Congrats on "changing over"; the LS1 is a different amimal than the V6 camaro you had before.Try to get as much car as you can, for your money. If you have enough to buy an '02, then find( M6, Auto etc...) one thats right for you and BUY IT.I've heard too many people say" man I should'a bought this or that instead".Take your time looking around and be sure you get what you want; there are some schweet deals here in the cars for sale section f.w.i.w..

I think the '01-'02 is the best to go after. You lose
the EGR, you have the later PCM operating systems
which are a little friendlier to tune, you have larger
injectors than '99-'00 and these two years are the
only ones that didn't see -some- engine plumbing
change year-year. Probably because they had already
decided to kill the model and quit innovating, but
whatever. Commonality of parts etc. is a bonus for
dead models. So anyway, an '01 is just like an '02
except better depreciated.

Don't forget the LS6 intake on the '01-'02s.
