0-60 for LS1's in about 5 seconds. Now that and five bucks might get you a cup of coffee at Starbucks
But that number means nothing. The important numbers are they run the 1/4 mile in which is anywhere from 12.8 to 14.1 @ 100-107. Big friggen gaps there but that is the reality of 98-99 A4's with 2.73's vs 01-02 M6 dyno queens with Evan Smith behind the wheel. Mine went 13.5 @ 103 when it was stock and that's the only numbers I ever cared about.

None of our numbers are official, as the track does not measure it. There are very good guestiamates using 60' time, 330', 1/8 ET and mph, etc though.
High 4's isn't far from the five flat that is universally accepted. With very minor mods like lid/cat-back or just free mods, weight reduction, good driving, good tires with proper preasure all the way around.....I'll buy into high 4's. And I'd rather have a 3.23 A4 than an M6 at the track anyway....then just wait till it gets a converter. (I'm sitting at a calculated 3.5, run in June in Indiana)
paper doll: How do you see 0-60 times at the track?

If you look closely at some of those sites posted above that have gathered info from the various magazines you will find a slew of quarter miles times ranging from 13.5 to a sluggish 13.9 even....how do you suppose SO MANY people at drag strips across the nation have run in the 12.8 to 13.4 range with the SAME EXACT type of cars? The magazines have apparently NOT gotten the most out of their track testing (shitty driving), tested in the poorest of air conditions and/or tested on the street and not on the track.
If they've run a mere 13.8 1/4 mile time in a car capable of very low 13s (even high 12s) in the right conditions then just how accurate can those slow 5.5+ second 0-60 times really be?

Here is a fact that some of us LS1 owners have to live with. Not every LS1 F-body is capable of a 12.x stock 1/4 mile. In fact most LS1 F-bodies are not. My car barely pulled a 13.5 in stock trim and had nothing more to offer short of me moving to sea level track (I was racing at Rt 66 Speedway at 700 feet above sea level). I only raced in decent weather conditions and maxed out the potential of my BFG KDWS with 2.0 60' short times. Even with lid, catback and ram air I could not run what stock M6's did with Evan driving (my best prior to TC was 13.1).
I've seen other LS1's that could only hit 13.8 in stock trim. 98-99 fully loaded TA's with 2.73 gears for example would not even come close to the potential of a 2002 M6 stripper Z28.
Most F-bodies left the factory as automatics. It was something like 7 of 10 cars were autos. While a few autos have been reported as hitting 12.9-13.1 stock they are definately factory freaks (few and far between).
On the same hand most stock F-bodies at most tracks are not capable of hitting 1.9 60' times on stock tires. The vast majority are maxed out with 2.0 or even 2.1 if the track prep is bad. Most of us don't get the opportunity to run at sea level either. And for M6 guys, most of them are not even in the same league as Evan Smith as far as launching/shifting skills.
If you read alot magazines you'll think LS1's run upper mid 13's to low 14's.
If you read F-body forums LS1's run high 12's to very low 13's.
If you race in the real world, under real world conditions and with regular drivers then you probably find that reality is somewhere inbetween.
As far as 0-60 mph. It's really difficult to measure accurately. Traction affects that outcome more then anything since most of us can not go WoT right out of the gate on street tires. High 4's to low 5's is about right and I'm only basing that on my experience with me punching the gas from a dig and using a stop watch to see what my 0-60 mph was the first day I had my car (Pathetic and inaccurate is probably an understatement).
OMG I so need to shutup now. Sorry for the long post. Just ignore me, I'm an idiot anyway (or so my wife says )
