0-60 mph times for LS1 F-Bodies?

Yea, you'd notice a little bit of difference. I had 2.73's in my '95 TA and it would run real low RPM's on the highway but wasn't much for low-end torque. I'd probably even go up to 3.42's because you can still keep good RPM's but will notice more difference down low. Just according to how much highway and city driving you do?

Its mostly a summer/fun car. I drive in the country mostly with some town and city driving. I was wondering if they were the cars that would be in the low to mid 5secs on 0-60.

A stock Z will run low to mid 5's. You won't notice a major difference until you step up a few steps. If it's not your daily driver then I'd go lower on the gears but if you have too drive it a long way everyday then I wouldn't go too low.

0 to 60 times
In my 2001 trans am I was running around 4.5 0-60 times. I had all the bolt ons. 4 speed automatic and hypertech powerprogramer. Running 13 sec flat in 1/4 mile. All bolt ons minus headers. I think they would have put me in high 12's for sure.

I would have closed the thread, but your comment renders it worthy of staying alive

Yeah these old threads are like an old preserved time capsule

Logging with a Vericom I ran a 14.16 @99mph in a mildly modded GN with 5.4 0-60 and 275hp as indicated on the Vericom. My 60 foot time was 2.7 because the acquaintance who's Vericom I used told me to boost it up too much. I'm certain I could've easily done a 4.9 0 to 60 so I don't think it's unreasonable for an LS to be in that time zone.
