Not if you start from a dig

Seriously though, it sucks that you regret your A4. Nothing worse then feeling like you made a bad purchase regardless of what the product is. You might consider swapping trannys. For about $2,000 you can do the A4 to M6 swap. That way you could keep your car but still get the M6 you really wanted.

Just a thought

Default m6 for sure

I had an 2001 z28 A4 and I really wanted a 6spd. When I got my chance I bought a 2001 SS m6 and I absolutely love it. Would not have it any other way.

I absolutely regret my A4-as far as I'm concerned it shouldn't even be an option on these cars. If I had the money and the patience to deal with a 10+ year old car I'd try to find an M6 car...

I love my 6spd, it's a blast to drive and you have a lot more control over the powerband, I haven't driven a stalled auto so I can't really compare...but I've had an auto camaro and unless your dragging your **** you should get a manual. It's a shame that they didn't all come equipped with it. It's also sad to see that exotic car companies like Ferrari and now Lamborghini have stopped their future production manual cars.

I will not own a car with someone else/something else shifting for me, that being said I love my M6.

I am not the best driver out there and need to get used to RWD and big tires from a dig...that being said I do wish for 1% of the time (stoplight races and races from a dig) I wish I had an A4.

I would never drive a performance car that had an auto tranny...in fact I dont ever want one without a clutch, I need to be in control.

Let old threads die. This one is 5 years old. It's over.

Anyway, M6s are for guys that like to grab and play with sticks. Real men have autos.
