Yeah this summer was pretty hot, had to wear a hat and get the ac fixed. But when the temp is like 90-75 this is really good weather. But its always good to know that I can take them off.

I'm 41.

I never said I didn't like T-tops, I just bought my Formula without them because I wanted to bracket race it.. so I wanted a lighter, stiffer car.

I have a car with t-tops, though.... and I love having both.

I've owned 2 f-bodys without and 3 with t-tops. I didn't mind not having t-tops, but I loved them when I had them.. I used to leave them off all the time, when I got home I would just pull it in the garage overnight so I wouldn't have to take them off the next time I drove it

My 01 Z28 doesn't even have power windows. I love strippers, both kinds

I love my stripper hardtop SS. Hell, do you know how hard it is to find an SS that doesn't even have a rear defroster? Actually, would mine be considered a stripper if I actually opted for SS, CME, but declined power windows/locks and anything else that was an option? The salesman claimed they would never be able to sell this car if I declined delivery due to the lack of options.

I'm 22 and love my T-Tops. I take them out no matter what time of the year it is, if its nice out, they're coming off. But everyone has their opinion

Vert all the way. Had t-topts on the '94 camaro and didn't use them near as much as the vert top.

Mine is a hardtop. I got it because it was cheaper. I know a guy who's T-Top flew off at the track (scratched it to ****)

my Z is a hardtop, and i don't really mind. it's actually kinda refreshing, i don't have to worry about them leaking, don't have to take the time to remove/replace them all the time, the frame is more rigid than a t-top car, i won't ever have to worry about getting caught out in the rain with the tops off and having to scramble to get them replaced, getting drenched in the process, don't have to worry about them taking up all my storage space (not that there's a lot to begin with....), etc....

don't get me wrong, i wouldn't necessarily decline buying a car because it had t-tops, but on the flip side, i'm not going to go out of my way to make sure it has them......

i've heard the weight difference is 12 lbs between a hardtop and t-top car. structurally, they're identical. hardtop cars are just sheetmetal instead of removeable glass. IMO, its worth the difference. at first, i didn't care about having mine out but now i take them out every chance i get.

I used my t-tops in my 2000 about 20 times this summer. But I don't go into places, such as stores or restaurants, and leave them off. I ALWAYS put them back on. I'm **** about it I guess. I can't fathom how people leave their vert and t-tops down/off. So I drive maybe 20 minutes from where I was to home, and put them back on.

As for my 89, I don't take them off anymore. It has been about 2 years since those have come off. Kinda ruins the whole Knight Rider look with the tops off.

I started a thread a couple of weeks ago about sunshades, and nearly everybody said they used them, with some saying they liked the "enclosed feeling". So hardtop would not be that bad. But bottom line, if it's a deal, go for it.

I would NOT have bought my car without the T-tops. I take them off way to often and it feels so...open. Like going commando or something.

Sorry, I think unless you have specific drag racing reasons that can't be addressed via subframes etc....that you would be nuts not to have them. Stop listening to the old heads about leaks and rust.

I specificly looked for a camaro with t-tops and though I don't take the t-tops off as much, I would still buy another camaro with t-tops, even though they leak a bit, the car looks baddass without the t-tops and when you have the t-tops off you can really hear the exhaust and hear the loudness that people from the street hear when you pass by.

its about what you like, hard top is just that. t-tops will let body flex more under hard launches, either one will require subframe connectors, however t-tops do leak, but thats for another thread. go for what u like/budget, then take it from there. any f-body you choose, you wont be dissapointed
