I am not certain how fast it was, speedo says 155, and it was all of that and more... for perhaps 20 minutes deep in Canada.. Wasn't racing, was fleeing 5 guys in a lifted 4x4 Ford Bronco that seemingly took issue with my license plate frame.. WTF ?? over.
Oh, plate frame says, Today's Special.. (top) Smoked Cobra..(bottom)
That or they have some pathological need to wave bats, middle fingers and yell profanity at (perhaps American) guys in white SS Camaro's

tucson to san diego = 425 miles. back when my camaro had the 6 speed manual tranny i made the trip in 5 hours and 15 minutes with one 15 minute stop for gas. i hit a top speed of 155 mph. my camaro will only do 130 mph now that is set up for 1/4 mile and i don't drive it out of town anymore either.
in my corvette i have driven from tucson to phoenix which is 100 miles in 1 hour.
in my viper i have driven 40 miles in 20 minutes on a 2 lane road with lots of turns and changes in elevation. this is an average speed of 120 mph
i will be doing the bonnevile 100 this summer in my viper. its a open road race in northern nevada. i will be running in the grand sport class. i will be driving 100 miles in 42 minutes. this works out to an average speed of 130 mph.

Hey Fast Freddy, have you ever done the Silver State Classic? I went and watched near the long *** straight away near the end a few years back. Was so cool watching all sorts of cars flying past you at their top speeds. Some of the cars in the unlimited class were getting upwards of 200 mph on that straight.
