SLP lid is far better than Blackwing as far as fitment and flow potential. Believe me, I once owned the Blackwing ($300.00 waste of money). My hood rubbed against lid and the fit was loose with Blackwing. SLP is a superior lid.

I picked up an SLP lid for my Z28....fit was on, as good as the stock one anyway.

My SS has a Blackwing (stock) and fits like a glove.

SS hood simply routes air to directly before the inlet
slot of the lower airbox. The lid is not involved, other
than as a clearance issue. My Blackwing lid has about
1/8" to spare.

My slp lid rubs my hood pretty bad. Im think of removing the baffles from my stocker and putting it back in. Would it perform the same as an aftermarket?
