On a stock car you'll only get a mild gain and most above 4500rpm. On a bolt on car or a cammed car there will be much more difference and an easy 20rwhp could be gained at PEAK with at noticable amount across the board.
HOWEVER - depending on what your plans are it may not be the most affective $/hp. If you are planning on a monster n/a heads & cam setup then you'd be better off spending the money on a TPIS 90mm LS6 or a FAST 90mm using a 90mm TB.
If you plan on FI then it makes less difference as you will still see massive numbers even with an LS1 intake. 450-500rwhp won't be a problem and will be getting close to the limits of the stock short block, transmission and rear end.
It's all about knowing you goals and expectations and mod accordingly.
If you plan on a turbo setup then you don't need:
-LT's
-ORY
-intake
-lid
-pulleys
To name a few. Sure you might be able to make a bit more power with some of them, but considering you could easily exceed the limits of the stock short block without them, there's a pretty good case to say save your money until you build a forged block and can maximise it's potential.
