Don't be one of those guys. If you want to throw cheap gas in your car, get bad performance and lose mpg then be my guest. My baby's gonna be burning 93 or better till everyone's cruising around in George Jetson cars.

If the manual says its recomended 91 or higher why even use cheaper stuff? Yea it is a little more expensive but its better for your car all together. Your spending over ten thousand dollars on a vehicle why not take the best care of it possible? Why risk anything just because you dont want to spend an extra 2 or 3 bucks when you fill up. If your that worried about gas dont get a v8 expecially a newer one. Go cheap get a late 90's honda and put some shitty cheap gas in it and dont about it.

I drove my sister's 04 Civic for a month while she was in Asia and I averaged 37 on the highway and about 30 in town..... You're telling me an LS1 gets 37MPG on the highway?

94 octane here...

sunoco up here gives 10% blend on all their octanes, 89 octane gave me crap mileage due to revereting to the low octane table.

94 octane + high octane table with city driving gets me around the rated 18 mpg when I do mostly city driving.

I haven't had the opportunity to do a long *** highway drive in awhile, but as little as 20-30 mins worth of highway speeds is enough to offset the crap mileage from 2 hours of bumper to bumper in the same day to keep the mileage around the 18 mpg mark.

On equal combined trips I will jump to around 21-22 mpg, so I would say the highway mileage is pretty damn high for a vehicle of this power level.

Always 93. Since the reformulated gas went on sale my mileage has gone from an average of 17 mpg to 20 mpg...those are combined city/highway mileage numbers. I don't notice a difference performance wise.

Anyone ever use Xylene to make cheap race fuel for their LS1? I used to run it in my WRX at the track. I'd blend enough Xylene with 93 to get about 97 octane. Prolonged use of the stuff is bad for seals in the fuel system so it's not wise to use it habitually.

Over here gas stations only have 95 and 98 RON, so thats 91 and and I guess a bit higher than 93... The price difference is only a few cents per liter, for a stock LT1 do you guys see any point in going with the 98 over the 95?

And for the person who was complaing about people saying "we could be in Europe", hell I am in Europe and I havent once complained about gas yet... Ive complained about alot of other stuff, but not gas... and my TA is my DD (cause if I was driving the Charger everyday then I might be complaining).

Nothin' but 93 here. Put 89 in her once before, she did NOT like it. She ran REAL rough.

EDIT: Haven't tried 91, but around here it's mostly the same price for 91/93 anyway.
