Well around here they would go for much higher because no one owns an F-body here. But I'm sure it wouldent be that hard to find one. This site help me out a lot, it had tons of F-Bodies. www.autoextra.com

i think it will be VERY difficult to find that car in that price range.....unless its a salvage title. Not impossible, but if you want a car now and don't want to be searching for a year, you could probably find that car for around 13-14k. just my .02

You can probably find a Z28 for that price with some searching, a totally clean SS with 50K or less miles for 10Gs is gonna be very very hard to find. I drove 1000 miles to get my 99 SS with 63K on it for 10Gs. Had a good dent in the quarter i gotta get repaired and needed the radio rewired. It was worth the drive to get the car for me. You will mostlikely end up traveling to find a SS for cheap, especially a 6 speed.

not typical......i wouldn't wait around for a deal like that. that isn't patience, that's just a damn good (lucky) find.

I agree with you on that one ^ but you shouldnt pay over 10K for a good LS1 car. not unless its like an 00 or newer. An SS will typically be more. Last year my friend picked his 02 Z28 A4 up with 14K on the odo for a shade under 15K, but he has connections. I would say for a good SS M6 9-16K depending on what you want.

your problem would be you want a CLEAN ss with 50k on it. Don't know where you're looking, but around here a deal like that just doesn't exist. Except if you can find the proverbial old lady trying to get rid of her dead husbands ss.

If you really are serious, call a few private dealerships in McAllen/Harlingen/Alamo Texas. I used to live there and there were some SICK! good deals. I recall seeing 01 LS1's in the 9-13K range ASKING PRICE at some of those small car lots, and this was in 04.

I don't think it should be too hard to find. Last year I almost bought a 99 SS M6 with 50K miles for $11,500. It was far away from where I lived though. The next month I bought a 99 Z28 M6 with 63k for $9000. It was only 4 miles from my house. I know SS are always more though. I just wanted a black t-top six-speed LS1. If you're patient enough you'll find what you want in your price range mentioned.
