Finally....A few pics of my '02 Formula
Finally got a digital camera!
I bought this '02 Firebird Formula 3 months ago for $16,500 with 29K miles.
Has a Flowmaster exhaust with 3.5" tips. Makes it sound really tough, and it
runs like a champ.
A mechanic that looked at it said the exhaust, along with a K&N filter and SLP airbox lid may up the stock horsepower from 310 up to 330.
Don't have a lot of $ to do any more mods.....and I'm 37 so I can't justify racing it, but I'd like to take it to the track at least one time.
I only wish I would have gotten one of these 20 years ago!!!

I forgot to add that I'm thinking about taking the two "Formula" side nameplates that are on the lower part of the doors and having them painted black so they stand out more.
Any feedback on this idea?
Thanks.

\/\/()r|) ... nice lookin car, i'm partial to the formula's... just put some cutouts on it b4 the cats for the track... its the best $50 or so u'll spend!!!

Nice lookin car...if you're really not not racing and the car is fast enough for you now don't worry about the flowmaster- apparently its not as free flowing but unless you go mod crazy I wouldn't worry about it too much. It might restrict and have performance impact if you did long tubes and no cats but if everything else is stock enjoy the sound.

i personally wouldnt do the formula overlays. i think it would detract from the car. if you really think you want them, i would suggest photoshopping a picture of ur car, and adding the color to the formula emblems. Then see if you still like it... if so, go for it
