the engine and tranny work great.this car has been well mantained.it holds good oil pressure and has lots of power.i was going to get a 99 z28 with all the same stuff awhile back with 80,000 miles on it . this 98 pulls a good bit harder then that 99 did.this cars in top shape just begging to be modded.

ok well if everythings checking out, work from the outward in.....ie, lid>tb>ls6 manifold> heads or true duals and headers > cam> stall...make sure tune it after significant things. but to me thats the best way to do it, is build off of each other

Wow...you're saying he should do the stall last? That's gotta be the first time i've heard that.

Cam on a stock stall is a bad idea, a stall should be the first mod to do to an A4 if your looking for performance. Trust me, I did it last and it was a dumb idea.

No need to do hardened pushrods either, the stockers wont flex and screw up geometry unless you have a larger scale cam. If you do like a 23X/23X .6XX/6XX 110 type cam I'd do hardened push rods. But the thing with those pushrods is if you over rev it (dont think you cant either, I know of A4's that have bent valves from over reving it) and over reving it with hardned rods will bend the valves since the rods dont give, which requires head pulling to fix it, as opposed to putting another rod bolt in.
