[QUOTE=My '98 burns no oil and has no piston slap. Can't say the same for the '00 car I sold.[/QUOTE]
Same here no oil burning or piston slap, and i got a LS6 oil pump so my pressure is always good. I know the 98 myth isnt true but i just hate when people, such as dumbass people not alot from this forum but just people who dont know much about the different years and how our cars work. i had some douche tell me that my car would be a 500 HP car if i put a superchip in it, thats the kind of people i deal with lol.

LOL, I'll bet some people that died in 1977 know more about LS1s than the guy that told you that BS.

When I get home, I'll get you the dyno sheet. There's a vid out there a guy made, but I don't have the link. It shows how bad my car threw smoke.

My 98 has been tough as hell since day 1. In 8 years, I have had to replace the fuel pump and rebuild the 10 bolt. No oil consumption or slapping whatsoever. I never dyno'd when it was stock, so I can't say much about stock hp numbers. I installed LT's, Ypipe, catback, LS6 intake and it put down 327/332 through a 12 bolt. This was on a dynojet with mild HPtuning. I feel like these are decent numbers.
I just hit 74k on the clock and still running like a f'n champ. Car is still basically like new. Maintenance is EVERYTHING!

I wonder if that has anything to do with me running high 12s?
