Default Weird Traction Control Problem?

I've noticed when TCS is on and I'm driving normal andhit the gas maybe to half? te pedal like stops an is hard to press down, now it's not even increasing in speed nor even kicking down a gear! and the TCS light dosn't even comeon when it does this. why is that? anybody else have this problem?

it's an A4 02 Trans Am.

When I took TCS off I drove around for awhile and did the half throttle again and it was fine.

My question is why would TCS kick on when the tires arn't even breaking lose yet nor increasing the speed?

I don't know if this is definitely traction control kicking in, because when my tcs activates, it kicks the gas pedal back out at me, it doesn't make it hard to push down more. So, I really don't know what is wrong with it, but I'm not so sure that your tcs is engaging, it might be the throttle cable getting stuck on something maybe...anyone else want to offer any input?

My guess is that it is trying to prevent loss of traction before it actually happens. I could be wrong though, esp. since your TCS light doesn't come on.

Went for another ride tonight, it did it afew times but when it did it I looked at the cluster , there was no light coming on. then when it did it again I actually hammered it and it still let's me put it to the floor but it's like a slipt second where it's stiff and also I noticed when TCS is on you can here thi realy faint like rattle when gunning it a bit, but when TCS is off it doesn't do that.

Anyone?

My 98 SS is doing the same thing!!!, Everyone told me the traction control would lift but I haven't ever felt that, the light will come on but I'm still chirping gears. I was cleaning under my hood and thought maybe I had moved the throttle cables out of there bracket I jiggled them, and it's only done it once since, last night after I armor-alled my intake. Tromp your pedal down that seems to free it up. Thanks
