Question on top speed

mines limited at 118 (till the tune ) but honestly i have no need/desire to do 130+ on a public road. I would however like to go to the texas mile one day when i get the funds to slap a procharger on there.

Yea, texas mile is one thing. Then I will deff hit those speeds. As far as public roads...I was a dumb Teenager (still am, kinda). I don't think it is worth it anymore. 120 racing someone is one thing..but that is it. Only time I will see those speeds. 90 is the most I go in a 75 now lol. I'll cruise to Tucson at 90 mph, but not really faster, unless its a mad straight..then 120, then slow it back down.

haha, if it was that big of a deal to me, yea, but like i said, its not. I wouldn't want to go any faster than that on stock suspension anyhow, much less on a public highway when all it takes is someone to change lanes, and your fucked.

Wow, mine is weird. I'll be going 50mph and punch it and when it hits 120mph I have to take my foot off the gas for it to shift then it shifts. It then reaches 129mph and starts to slow down. I have a hp tuners tune and my tuner boosted my tranny line pressure, could that be the problem?
I have hit 135 before and don't know why I cant do it anymore.....

i always thought the limit was 163, and what kind of idiot are you racing someone at speeds that high? its all fine and dandy til you hit sumthin small and kill yourself and possibly whoever you are racin, that or the other guy will get charged with manslaughter, still your an idiot why dont you do quarter mile racing or sumthin

If you have 4.11 gears and you didn't correct the computer for the change in gear ratio then you will hit the speed limiter sooner. Your speedometer will read the same but you will be going slower. And if you had the parameters changed the for the gear ratio then was the speed limiter raised at the same time?

150 was at 11 at night....less traffic lol. But I did hit 140 at like 3pm on I10 once, and my friends radar I was borrowing went off...slowed it the **** down, and we came up to traffic QUICK, at 70 mph. Traffic was going under 25 on the highway due to an accident miles up...If I was doing double the speed still...it could have turned BAD.
