about 99.99% of the people on here that own an A4 will tell ya to go with the converter. it works wonders on these cars. but since its on the cant get list, then you should do all the free mods. it wont give you very much horsepower, but its a start. and the best part about it is that its FREE. other then that, get a cutout or headers.

your best two mods are listed as CAN'T -

Gears and Stall - you'll get the best bang for the buck there.

Why not these two?.

if not a STALL ( do the stall man ) then i'd go with LT's and ORY

Only do the headers and ORY if you got a hook up, otherwise your gonna be stressing once a year come inspection time. Maybe do some suspension stuff or a set of Drag Radials, while these items don't add HP they do help out in transfering what you have to the ground.

Why no stall and gears?

for one I dont wanna stress the tranny and rear end that much right now and total anihilate my gas mileage.

I wanted to keep the mods simple for a bit, thats why I asked what yall think I should do next that would give me the better bang for the buck. I know all the little things and what mods support what and that knida mess, not new to lt/lt1 scene, jsut wondering what yall would do in my situation

ok I think i got it figured out...

Gonna go ahead for the SSRA and hold out for some headers for x-mas

after i get the ehaders and have the money for the jet hot y-pipe and soem new locking bolts IO can put those in. that should have me pretty well set up and will give me a good reason to get a tune and LS6 intake

Im not trying to be a smartass but dont do anything ! You were saying you dont want to stress your trans and kill your gas millage . Just keep it stock and you wont have that issue. If your determined to do something then do headers. Just remember it is just a car the trans can take a **** on you without putting stress on it . But like everyone else said if you want to really wake that car up stall and gears Breaking things is all part of the hobby

My tranny blew when I was bone stock.

When the 'new' tranny went in the car (about 5 months ago), so did $2,000+ in mods.
I was trying to keep it stock because it was my DD.

Now I'm almost full bolt-ons with a 3600 stall on the stock rear.
I have been logging every gallon that goes into my tank in Excel and it turned out I picked up 2mpg with the mods and a tune.
Go figure.
