no. you need pushrods and valve springs. and that cam is sort smal imo. youll just want a larger cam in 6 months. a decent sized cam that makes good power (390 range with bolt ons) is the thunder racing 224/224 cam. But i went with the custom cam in my sig and and I love it.

Do you have any other mods to the car like headers? you already have the ls6 intake so i would do headers and true dual setup.

is 6 sp or auto. if auto you will need to upgrade your stall converter so you are launching or cruising around in the powerband of the cam you chose. you may also need to change the gear ratio in the rear end. depends if you want to go bigger. but that cam seems small so you might not have to do the stuff above. but it would definately help.

Go bigger with the cam, you WILL regret getting a cam that small. Then read the post above...

well im an A4 but im going to have the supporting mods to get a big cam. such as headers, intake, and exaust. but you maybe you could get like a 228 cam or something like that. when you get up to like the 236's you will need a stall.

i would agree do headers, exhaust, then get a stall to match a big cam.

i've decided to wait on the cam, and just start out with a intake and a tune. then see what goes from there.

Being that your car is a 2000 you do not have the ls6 intake, you have the ls1 intake. That is something I would change during the cam swap since you will have it off at that time! However supporting mods would be nice to get 1st, such as longtube headers, ORY or catted, free flowing muffler, air lid, u/d pulley, taller gears (3.73s), and a stall to suit your cam! Good luck on your journey to make your car a hell of a lot more fun.
