Now that your question has been answered by BrandonDrecksage, what the **** does "do torques make sounds?" mean? Torques?

hahaha so much for not rippin' him a new one...

One thing I have consistently noticed about ls1tech, the noobs always get the answer to their question, but they always have to pay for it! haha

An engine is just a large piston air pump. If you could spin the motor over at say 2000rpm without it running it would still make a noise.

Air being sucked in, compressed in the combustion chambed and vented out via the exhaust. When down revving that is basically what is happening.

just FYI,
in the USA, a backfire can refer to both a explosion of fuel in the intake, and a explosion of fuel in the exhaust...
matter of fact, until i read this thread, ive never even heard the term "afterfire"... to be honest, thats a very british sounding term anyway...

My guess is that torques would be pretty quiet. Here is a definition that I found:

Dictionary

n. Zoology.

torques: A band of feathers, hair, or coloration around the neck.

Could be that he needs a new tranny mount. i don't feel like going back and looking to see if he has an m6 or not

trans mount wont change anything, i recently changed mine
