400 rwhp all motor on stock clutch/rearend
i just bought a 98ws6 with ls6 intake manifold and nos dry nitrous system. the car hasnt been sprayed yet but will be spraying a 100 shot soon. i've owned the car 4 weeks and it has shitty BFG DR's, i 've bought: f14 cam, pacesetter longtubes and ory and slp lm1 exhaust. i plan on porting tb, going with a nice valvetrain, ported oil pump, and crank underdrive pulley.
i plan on having a mid/high 11 sec all motor DD with stock gear/clutch but putting a nice DR on there. i dont have a window switch on the n20 only a wot so i might have to get fancy with my hands and hit the engage switch after hitting second to not spray in 1st.
car has 56k orginal miles...motor/clutch/rearend.
am i looking at a good reliable daily driver with good hp? how long can i expect on my clutch/rear end?
what do you guys think of that?

I'm saying no on your 11-second expectations. However you may do it once or twice....but if you build that car like you described above, the clutch and the rearend are not going to like you very much especially on hard launches.

Kiss your clutch goodbye, its not even an LS6 clutch to say the least. Then when you get a good clutch in there and you see the track alot.....kiss your stock 10-bolt goodbye.
Peace,
Craig.

i belive you can do it maybe a couple of times before something breaks but the whole switching on the nos with a m6 bad idea you might want to rethink that

The stock 98-00 clutch woudl slip right off teh showroom floor. Adding power to that plus sticky tires, good luck, it might last, but i wouldn't hold your breathe. I don't understand why people always throw more power into their car because building it up or making it safe. A strong rear and clutch are givens once you start playing with drag radials. Why not put the money into them first...unless you can afford down time after you burn up the clutch.

id say, you could runs 12s all day on a decent clutch and street tires probably without breaking something. But don't put sticky tires on it or drag radials.

IF I was you first of all Id say F*** the SLP loudmouth, its sounds DISGUISTING.. F*** the ORY, it just makes it sound even WORSE..
Get an Offroad X with TSP true duals...

^Thats the best sound exhaust for LS1's IMO, and thats why I got it for my car. I have gotten many compliments on it.
Ls1 exhaust sounds -- you can hear the different exhaust options there are for LS1's
Clutch wise, you would probably have to get a new clutch with that kind of setup. If you do plan on getting a clutch get a Textralia OZ700SB, or a Ram HD. Those clutches are very nice and Ive driven both of them. I have a tex on my car, and I absolutely LOVE it.
Rear end wise-do not launch the car over 3500 RPMS and youll have no problem, atleast for a while. A girdle to protect your differential will definitely help, and so will torque arms, and other minor suspension mods.
Get some Nittos or new BFG's.. BFG's dont last that long (5,000 miles) and nittos last about 10-15,000 miles depending on driving conditions and how you drive it.
Id go Nittos if your daily driving your car.
The cam your going with is fine, as long as you get the "-F14-112 FMS Custom Grind Camshaft - 232"/234" .598"/.598" 112LSA "
You can go with a 114 LSA as well if youd like. I have a 114 on my car and its just as powerful as a 112, the power just takes a bit longer to kick in.
Well hope this helps..
Goodluck

i'm not sure about the clutch, as i did that upgrade around 35K miles when i had to have the tranny pulled. i figured the trans was out, go ahead and do it.
as for the rear, mine blew a few weeks ago on a 2 grand slip launch on full street tires - not slicks, not DR's - 18" radials. every rear is different, and you never know WHEN it's gonna go, all you know is that it IS gonna go. mine only had 50K on it, and had only been to the track about 4 times. maybe 12-16 passes in it's whole life.
