Hello,

I just purchased a 1999 Trans AM WS6 and was wondering what I could do to it to get a little more HP. I will be doing an exhaust system and filter and lid in the winter, but was wondering if anyone knew how to squeeze a little more HP out by doing just basic free mods. Could someone list and explain the process of doing this. All the help is greatly appreciated.

A lot of people on here (me included) do not recommend doing much of any of the free mods. Especially removing the maf screen or the air dams in the hood vents.

 

I did the free ram air mod, throttle body bypass and ported my own tb..definetly made a difference in the car.

Go to installuniveristy.com. Theres write-ups on alot of free mods there. It seems to be 50/50 on this site to which are benificial and which arent, but IMO the ported TB and bump stop are the only two I consider. Im not a fan of descreened MAFs but if it works it works. There are numerous people on here who have sucessfully done this. All Im saying is descreen at your own risk.

Yeah that is the MOST important mod I am "installing" on my Z06 since I just got it!!!
