Pacesetters are a good bang for the buck hedder. A good custom Xpipe set up will cost you alot more money, unless you have a hook up. I would just settle for an ORY pipe and an aftermarket exhaust and call it a day.

If you're starting from scratch the first rounds of mods you want to do (besides a lid--which should be your first mod) is exhaust. Get yourself a good set of headers and look into a true dual exhaust system for your best bet.

Although it can be expensive a good true dual exhaust brings more power and torque to the table for your ls1. With a good shop doing the work or, buyng a prefabbed kit like the Bassani kit and having your shop weld it up, will be the way to extract the best potential out of the ls1 engine.

Pace setters are good for the money .

My suggestions:

Hooker SuperComp LTs(not very expensive, a tad more than pacesetter)
ORY
Dr.Gas True Duals with X Pipe.

i was in your same situation. my car had true duals when i bought it though other than that bone stock. if i was you pacesetters armor coating. tsp rumbler all off road if you can in your state. Then whiles you do all this get rid of the egr and air pump(i still need to do this if i keep my car) do some of the free mods too coolant bypass, and the free ram air mod. and a 1le tranny mount and ws6store.com short stick. and ws6store.com is very fast and has never sent me a bad part i would highly recomend them. After all of this get it dyno tuned( still need this as well) your car will be alot faster after that, well in the twelves and be realy fun to drive. But dont forget about suspention that can make that car alot more fun and bearable to drive everyday. good luck

I like my pacesetters they're nice quality for the price. One of our sponsers, TSP has got a nice td set up for a reasonable price.
