Default 2001 M6 stripper z28 for 10,500?

First off is this a good deal. It is a M6 stripper in black. the only option it has is a CD player. its a hardtop with crank windows, manual seats, etc. It has 67000 miles on it and the guy installed an SLP lid. Other than that it is completely stock.

Also, what else is the difference with the stripper compared to a optioned z28? esp. the weight difference!! what are these capable of running stock? is it unbearable for daily driving? I dont think it would be, but I am sort of used to driving 60's and early 70's muscle around so I dont think it will be too bad.

Thanks for the input guys

thats not a bad deal. Im sure you could shave a little more off the price. But that would be an awesome drag car. The only option i guess i would like is power windows. i can do with out the rest. But I would go for it.

The strippers are hardtops, are they not? If so, thats awesome! I wish my WS6 could have been hard-top. Well, I used to, then I discovered silicon grease and it no-longer leaks at all and I love the T's

No it's not. I have a stripper and it certainly isn't a 1LE. In 2001 GM introduced what was called a decontented z28 model that came free of any options. Some of these cars had the 1LE package and some didn't, it varied.

My 2002 "stripper" (zero) option designation is 1SC.

You'll nip at high 12s with the right conditions.

I went 14.2 @ 102 w/ 2.2 60' and I think the DA that night was just below 7000ft. Altitude sucks!

it all depends how you can drive the stick. it's all on the driver, but a stock '01 M6 with a lid is low 13's. If you are one hell of a driver, you might see a 12.9x or so. It's all on the lauch with an M6. I wish I'd of gotten an M6, and I've often debated whether or not to convert mine to M6, but I think I'm gonna love my A4 with a stall. We shall see is that is so.

Dude buy it! I had a 1993 Z28 stripper and I miss it, I wish my 2000 was a stripper.

Your suspension is stiffer because it's a 1LE (Koni DA shocks/higher rate springs), NOT because it's a no option stripper.

I daily drive my no option (except for power steering cooler) 2000. It's FINE, and I like knowing I have the lightest car possible (off the showroom floor, at least). Not having to worry about the window/mirror/seat motors is 10x MORE than worth the slight inconvenience!!

I like my power ones, 76K miles and when I "race" them they always tie and they go up fast enough to suit me
