Default What would the outcome be?

My friend just bought an 04 cobra and it just has a 2.93 pulley and we are curious to what the outcome would be. We would just race and find out but i'm away from home for school right now.

My mods are......lid, filter, bellow, MAF, CAI, Ported TB (w/bump stop mod), LT's and duals. (2000 SS M6)

So how would i do against him?

I know you guys hate these kind of questions but we really would like to know because we are debating all the time.

Thanks

Well in reality your car should be quick enough to play ball with a STOCK Terminator although from a roll my money would be on the Cobra.

When you say a 2.93 pulley I'm assuming it's also got a CAI and catback. Which means the Cobra really should hand you your **** on a silver platter.

Not that I'm dissing the LSx/Fbody but remember a stock Terminator is in reality pushing out around 400bhp stock. So even with the Fbody weight advantage it's still a decent chunck of HP.

With a induction/exhaust & pulley a Cobra can easily see 450rwhp+

No the car just has a pulley no cai or exhaust. He bought the car used and it had a 2.76 but it was messed up so he just put a 2.93 from a lightning on it for now. I know once he adds cai and exhaust i will getted smoked but he wont be doing that for a while. So he is basically stock because i dont think the pulley is doing much without the cai and exhaust. I think it is possible for me to hang at the moment.

But i just want some of your opinions.

Thanks

I still think he has you covered on this one not by much though. Really going to be a drivers race with the slight edge to the cobra, hopefully he spins and you get him but not really a sure thing till you run. As said a million times "anything can happen on the streets".

My money would still be on the Cobra, espcially from a roll.

Go from a dig.

Remember a stock Cobra is fully capable of 12.6 @ 113mph on a good day.

All things being equal, Cobra. Now you have incentive to mod more

I agree with everything you guys are saying. I have a chance but a very small one

I just talked to my friend and he is ordering exhaust today so i'm definately not in his league. I need to hurry up and find some money so i can spray!! I'm sure my 150 shot will walk on his ***.

i raced a 04 cobra with catback and from a 40mph roll, i put about 2 cars on him each time. we both had passengers. i tried to go from a dig, but he said he couldnt because of his tires. we went to about 130 or 140 each time. i dont know if it was the driver or not, but i can say that his friend got in the driver seat and tried to race me too and it was the same outcome. when you get back, go race him and video it.

Thats interesting because we almost have the same mods. I just dont have gears. Your dyno numbers are good so that must mean you have a really strong runner. I also think i have a stronger than average car because i have raced ls1's with more mods than me before i put on the LT's and duals and i beat them.
Other guys i know that own ls1's have taken a few rides with me and they say my car feels fast for the mods i had.
