Yeah thats what I love about insurance, in 10yrs youve paid for your car twice! What a great use of money! I am almost in the same boat, just 5 more yrs i est. and i'll have paid for my car once thru ins. and once in real life!

When I was 18-19 I was looking at getting an 98-02 Camaro. My insureance would have been $325 a month!. So I ended up getting a 95 Z28, which was about $275 I think. Then when I turned 20 it went to $170. Then for my 21st birthday, I bought my self a present, my 99 SS, and the best part, my insureance went down! Too about $145 , lol, but that cause I'm 21 now. I have a perfict record. When I was 17 I had an 81 camaro with a V8, and only paid like $160, but that because it origionaly came with a six.

www.progressive.com

go there and get a free quote, for me, they have been the cheapest compared to geiceo, all state, state farm, liberty, ect... i dont have a ls1 yet, but, i checked into insurance first before i got my hopes up, and insurance for me, full coverage (what you need for a loan) was 200-220/month @ 500 deductibles. with one wreck that was my fault, but will be off my record in april. so for you, i imagine its going to be......like 3 sumthin. my rates jsut recently went down. im 19, and a year ago, my insurance for one of those cars was like 375/month. and like 5 motnhs ago it was still like 275, and that was on a grand am...like a 2000...so they went down considerably, why? i have no idea...haha i guess im jsut lucky...

i pay 300 a month on a 99 z28 & 95 grand prix, I'm 21 yrs old, and have quite a record, 1 speeding, 1 dui, 2 careless driving(doing 116mph in my car, and doing wheelie's on a bike), 1 driving w/out a Motorcycle endorsement, 1 driving w/out a MN drivers License, and 1 accident(not my fault). All of these except for the accident should be off my record in a year or so, the insurance co. can only charge you for anything from up to 3-5 yrs ago, I have learned you have to pay to play and don't do stupid shti on the roads keep it at the track, I am still under the parents ins. and get a good student discount which is good for 25-50 off a month, do a lot of searching, cheap ins. is out there, if you want it and have the funds I would say do it

Hey before you guys shell out more cash check out esurance.com I dont know how they will be for everybody, but for me they were CHEAP. Other insurance agencies wanted $300+ for full coverage and esurance was $145-150.

I've got 500 deductables and It's $160/mo. I'm turning 25 in less than a month and it's supposed to go down to around $110.

what I am going to post may suprise some of you. I am 18, I got my formula when I was 16. I pay 160 a month through state farm. My dad is listed as a driver of the car, but I believe I am the primary still. I have one accident (not at fault) and no tickets. My dad wanted me to get a truck when I first got my lisence. I called state farm and the truck was more expensive to insure than my formula. The rational behind this was that the truck would cause more damage and cost the insurance company more money in the event of an accident. There is nothing wrong with calling your insuracne company and asking them. BTW, my car is the only one on the policy, so there are no other discounts like multi car, nor do my parents have our house through them.

my ws6 is only 600 and some change every 6 months. Its on my insurance as a pleausre car because its the fourth vehicle in my family since I still have my v6 mustang. It has full coverage and is the same price as just liability on my mustang which is considered my primary car...kind of weird how it all works out.
