I heard there is a short belt that can be used at the Track on the LS1 that skips running the Power Steering pump and give s a few more ponies.

Anybody done that and have the part number handy? What kinda gain did you notice ??

friend of mine did it when he went to gville....said he picked up a slight gain...and just switching the belts was worth it

Ok got the search working, it seems this question comes up alot.

I have stock accesories (no underdrive pulleys). So from what I found it appears length is 51.5 - 52.5 inches. Two numbers showed up 538K6 and 522K6, so which one will work ??

I picked up 2 slightly different belts, so will try them out tomorrow at the track and see how they do.
